Who we are

We’re a church made up of real people from all walks of life. Some of us have been in church for years, others are just beginning to explore faith, and many are still figuring things out.

No matter where you come from or where you are on your journey, you’re welcome here. We believe God’s love changes lives, Jesus offers real hope, and the Holy Spirit helps us live with purpose and compassion.

We’re passionate about worship, growing together, and serving our neighbors and the nations.

As a proud part of our little community for over 65 years, we would like to welcome you to our church, where warmth and faith come together to create a sense of belonging for everyone. Join us as we share in life's journey, celebrating and supporting one another every step of the way.

The broader Church of God of Prophecy movement was established in 1903, originating from a revival in North Carolina and formally organized under A.J. Tomlinson. The specific local church in Stayton, Oregon, was founded much later around 1961, as part of this larger denomination's expansion.

Our Vision

A church rooted in God’s love, where everyone belongs—and our city discovers hope and new life in Jesus.

Our Mission

Our mission is simple, Love God, love people, and work together to bring hope to our city and the world.
We worship Jesus with our whole hearts, welcome everyone into family, and help people grow in faith and purpose.

What Are Our Core Beliefs?

God

We believe in one God who created everything and loves the world deeply.
God exists as Father, Son (Jesus), and Holy Spirit—three persons, one God—working together to bring life, hope, and restoration.

Jesus

We believe Jesus is the Son of God.
He came to show us who God is, to teach us how to live, and to rescue us from sin and brokenness. Jesus lived a perfect life, died on the cross, rose again, and offers forgiveness, new life, and hope to everyone who trusts Him.

Salvation

We believe anyone can begin a relationship with God through faith in Jesus.
Salvation is a gift of grace—it’s not earned. When we turn toward God and trust Jesus, He forgives us, gives us a new start, and begins changing us from the inside out.

The Holy Spirit

We believe God is present and active today through the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit comforts, guides, strengthens, and empowers people to live like Jesus. We believe God fills believers with His Spirit so they can love boldly, serve faithfully, and live with purpose.

A Changed Life

We believe following Jesus is a lifelong journey of growth.
As we walk with God, He shapes our character, helps us leave behind harmful patterns, and leads us into healthier, more loving ways of living.

Transformation

We believe following Jesus is a journey where God continues to shape our hearts and lives.

The Church

We believe the church is not a building—it’s people.
The church exists to love God, love people, and share hope with the world. We are called to live in unity, care for one another, and reflect Jesus through compassion and service.

Worship

We create space in our worship for God’s presence, allowing Him to move, speak, and bring encouragement.

Baptism & Communion

We practice baptism as a public step of faith, showing a person’s decision to follow Jesus.
We also celebrate communion as a meaningful reminder of Jesus’ love and sacrifice.

Healing & Prayer

We believe God still heals and restores—emotionally, spiritually, and physically.
Prayer is a powerful way we invite God into our lives, trust Him with our needs, and support one another.

Serving Others

We believe faith should make a difference beyond church walls.
God calls us to serve our neighbors, care for those in need, and share His love locally and around the world.

The Future

We believe Jesus will return one day and make all things new.
Until then, we live with hope—choosing love, faith, and faithfulness as we look forward to God’s promised future.
